Recently I did a tad of shopping (nothing new there), so today I thought I would run you through the things I picked up and my first impressions. First things first, there is a new Kiko shop both in Sheffield and in Birmingham which are the two cities I live in so I took it as a sign and popped in. Lucky for my bank account I only picked up one thing and that was the Long Lasting Eyeshadow Stick in shade 363 which word on the street is meant to be a dupe for a much more expensive product, the By Terry Obre BlackStar in Misty Rock. So can’t wait to give that a go and I’ll report back whether it is a good cheaper alternative.
Whilst we are talking about dupes I’ll mention the lip pencil currently on my lips. It’s the Rimmel Exaggerate in Eastend Snob which is meant to be a good alternative to the rather pricy Charlotte Tilbury lip liner in Pillow Talk. So far I’ve got a lot of use out of it and it looks great under a few of my different pinky lipsticks.
I saw lots of people posting about a free nail varnish that came with Elle Magazine back in October but I never managed to get my hands on it unfortunately. However I picked up a Models Own shade from their metallic range which is very different to my normal neutral nails but I have to say I am a fan, especially for this festive season. I got Rose Gold which is as you’d expect a rose gold/ pinky shade, might have to look at more in the range because I like Models Own nail varnishes and they have a great colour range.
Final thing to mention is the Origins Out of Trouble mask. I am a huge fan or Origins, especially their masks, as this is the third or fourth I’ve tried from them and I love it. I’ll admit the smell isn’t great, it’s a bit medicinal and strange but the mask is a good quick fix for those spottier days.
