Spring is coming, are you ready? I’m not! My wardrobe is overflowing with chunky knits and tartan scarfs, there isn’t a floral blouse in sight. So it’s time to shake things up and inject some colour into my monochrome life. The main thing I love about Spring is sunglasses! To be honest I love them all year round but they’re an essential in the sunnier months.
FarFetch.com is an online retail site featuring hundreds of luxury brands for the most stylish and fashion conscious of customers. From tops to trainers and hats to heels Farfetch has exactly what you’re looking for. However my favourite feature on the site is their unique insight into how to pick just the right sunnies to suit you, they have helpful tips and tricks to make every purchase perfect. If you’re in doubt as to where to start with your search the site contains an innovative short film exploring a method of using your face shape to pick the perfect frame to best flatter your face. The step by step process ensures you find exactly what you’re looking for.
‘Get your glasses choice right and you will stand out above the crowd with a style that demands attention and admiration in equal measure.’
When exploring the great range of sunglasses Farfetch.com has to offer I got sucked in by the new SS16 clothing range, and have put together an outfit including my favourite key pieces. The eye-catching silhouetted Venice print shirt is the perfect way to welcome the warmer weather. It’s chic and bold and will have compliments flying. I’ve paired it with some tailored black trousers but their high-waisted fit makes them both very versatile and flattering. Let’s face it if you live in England like me it’s risky leaving the house without a jacket at any time of year, so I’ve included a Givenchy biker jacket I’m obsessed with. Leather jackets are such an easy way of adding a chic but edgy look to an outfit, and can be rocked in any season.
This outfit is full of key pieces that can all be found on Farfetch.com, and could be styled in a number of different ways. Dressed down for a walk in the park or smartened up for evening drinks. I’ve linked some accessories I think help achieve these particular looks. First the more casual of the two, dressed down with some studded slip-ons and a stylish Michael Kors backpack, this outfit gives the perfect relaxed vibe. Add a cosy beanie hat to either add a layer of warmth or disguise a bad hair day (no one will suspect a thing). For a smarter look throw on a pair of Gianvito Rossi courts, swing a Givenchy classic on your arm and you’ll be dressed to impress. The classic fedora is a fresh and on trend addition to your accessory collection that will look great with a range of outfits including this one. However you choose to style this look, it’s not complete without the right killer shades. After a lot of pondering I’ve finally managed to pick my favourites from the site by using their helpful tips and can’t wait to rock them as soon as the sun shows its face. The Saint Laurent Rounded Frame sunnies are perfect for my face shape and are a style that aren’t likely to go out of fashion anytime soon, so well worth the money. The colour however makes them unique, and means they go with my chosen outfit perfectly and really pulls the whole look together in a fresh and exciting way.
