I’ve always been quite lucky with my skin, but over the last year or so I have had rather a lot of break-outs. I’m one of those people that sees a spot, freaks out and starts attacking it with every scrub, wash and zit cream I own. However I recently purchased a few new skincare products and I finally feel like I have a concrete routine that seems to be keeping those pesky spots at bay. As always I can’t guarantee the products that work for me will work for you but I thought it may be helpful to share what my face has been loving these past few months.
Cleanser… I’m on my third bottle of Clarins Daily Energising Cleansing Gel. Using this I quickly started to see an improvement in my skin, so I went back to the Clarins counter and asked if they could recommend anything else. They said the Clarins One-Step Exfoliating Cleanser with orange extract was probably my best bet, so I gave it a try and I love it. Not only has it helped with break outs but also leaves the skin feeling super soft and with no dry patches.
My most recent addition to my routine is La Roche-Posay Serozinc which is a facial toner formulated to target oily skin that is prone to blemishes. I wouldn’t say my skin is particularly oily it’s more combination but this product works well. It’s something that is talked about a lot in the blogging world and although I don’t see anything very dramatic it does seem to have cleaned up those aggravating tiny under the skin bumps that result from eating to much tasty rubbish.
My last step varies day to night. In the day I use the Origins Make a Difference Plus Moisuriser which smells amazing and is a lovely every day face cream. At night I’ve been slapping on the Clarins Lotus Treatment Oil for oily/combination skin which I have to say is the favourite step to my routine. It’s great for adding moisture, helping to balance my skin and it encourages me to sleep with my hair up which also can help blemishes, it’s an all round winner.
