As I’ve mentioned before on this blog, Jo Malone is one of my favourite brands when it comes to scents. If you’re someone that struggles to find the right fragrance for you I would highly recommend going to one of their counters and having a sniff at their wide variety of scents, as you’re bound to find one that suits you. It is a an expensive brand however so I tend to pop products on my birthday wish lists or treat myself to them for a special occasion. Their smaller perfumes are a little bit more affordable, costing £42 rather than the £85 price tag you pay for the 100ml bottle. The two I’ve been loving recently are Pomegranate Noir and English Pear and Freesia.
Pomegranate Noir is a juicy fresh scent, smelling of pomegranate, raspberry and plum with a hint of woody spice. It’s perfect for summer, and it is one that I always get lots of compliments on when I wear it. This is one of Jo Malone’s signature scents and so they sell a vast range of products in the same smell. From Cologne to candles to bath products their whole range can be purchased in this tasty fragrance.
English Pear and Freesia is a more subtle scent. Again it’s very fresh, and is perfect for spring and summer as its a lovely light way of adding a signature smell. It’s a mixture of both fruity and floral with again a woody base note to enhance the longevity of the fragrance. One of the things I love about Jo Malone is that all their scents can be combined to make your own unique take on any signature smell. They all compliment each other but if you are not sure how to best create your perfect match the staff tend to be very helpful in picking complimentary sprays. I personally think Jo Malone products make amazing gifts as not only do you know they are top quality purchases but the packaging is to die for! Its simple and classy and you can’t help but smile when you undo the black silk ribbon.
