Summer is just around the corner and it’s fair to say my ‘summer board’ on Pinterest is bursting at the seams. I’ve got two holidays booked so far this summer and I feel like my wardrobe is in desperate need of some more summer appropriate pieces. I feel like it’s time to lay of the black items for a couple of months and revive my closet with more colour, patterns and even maybe a touch of floral print… bold I know!
I’ve been so busy with drama school and my current show lately that I’ve had no time for shopping and even if I did, let’s face it, I’m a student so I don’t have the money to be buying 20 bikinis from Urban Outfitter every weekend. Instead I’ve turned to browsing online and adding things to my basket and mulling it over. I love summer clothes and swimwear as they get me all excited about my upcoming travels. However I want to avoid spend hundreds of pounds on a suitcase full of clothes that I’ll love whilst I’m away but as soon as I’m back in England will go straight to the back of my wardrobe. I may promise myself I’ll wear them the following year but let’s face it I’m going to want new stuff then too. I’ve seen zaful.com talked about a lot online and a friend of mine ordered some swimwear from them last year and loved it so I thought I would have a cheeky browse. They have such a large range of swimwear and clothing and it’s all so affordable it seemed like the perfect place to grab some summer essentials without breaking the bank. I thought I’d share my favourite few pieces with you incase you were looking for some summer inspiration or maybe are interested in a new shop to browse.
Firstly clothing, I love a playsuit! Thrown on over a bikini in the day when going out for lunch mid day or dressed up in the evening to explore the city, they are a holiday must. Every year I’m enticed into finding new styles and cuts. This beautiful white floral number from zaful.com caught my eye and I’ve been obsessing over it ever since. Perhaps not to be worn right this second as my skin looks like I haven’t seen the sun in years. However a few days into my hot holiday in Spain I’ll be more than ready to whip it out and show off my bronzed legs which the playsuit will hopefully highlight.
I’ve mentioned before on a style blog post I’m sure that I love a V-neck cut. I’m always drawn to them as I think on nearly every body shape they are so flattering. This dress with its low v neck line really jumped out at me as I scrolled down zaful.com and has been sat waiting for purchase ever since. I’m also in love with the print on it and think paired with a sandals or converse and a bronzed glow I’ll have myself a summer ready outfit.
I hardly ever swim when in England except for the rare occasion when I remember to take my swimming kit to the gym and attempt to swim a few lengths before getting tediously bored and quitting. For these sporadic events I wear a simple black speedo as I attempt to look the part and hope it motivates me to not give up after 2 and a half turns of the pool (alas my little sister got all the swimming genes). However put me next to an outdoor pool in the sun and you won’t be able to stop me diving in and doing somersaults for the full duration of my holiday (yes I know I’m nearly 22, but hand stands are still cool right?). So you guessed it my basket is full of bikinis and this year even a few one pieces. I’m normally a bikini girl because I’m not about that tanned arms pale stomach life however zaful.com have lured me in with their gorgeous cuts and prints and I am crazy about this palm tree pattern. I plan to not only wear it in the pool but also perhaps with some ripped Levi shorts as a bodysuit.
It’s fair to say as soon as I’m finished writing the blog post I will be clicking check out on my basket on zaful.com and impatiently awaiting the arrival of my seasonal suitcase essentials. Wow who is this new colour monster and what have you done with Al? I am thinking of throwing together a summer look book post with all of my purchases or maybe a Zaful review so please let me know if you’d be interested in the comments below. Also I’d love to know what your holiday essentials are and what you can’t stop buying at the moment, please leave comments below as I love hearing from you.
